Welcome to RiverHorse K9 Training

When you work with River Horse K9 Training you will learn skills that foster an engaged communication with your dog. You and family members will also learn and value how dogs think, learn, and communicate with us humans.

As the Principal trainer/owner for River Horse, I emphasize the building and practice of skills and engagement tools that work for you in the real world with all of its complexities and distractions.

The River Horse mantra,— ‘if it’s not fun, it’s not done’ — is woven into every class, seminar, and individual/private dog lesson that I lead. This mantra carries through regardless of the dog’s role and relationship in its family.

Explore our curriculum

All dogs must have Rabies and DHPP vaccinations or titers. Proof of vaccinations or titers must be brought to first class. Dogs without proof of vaccinations or titers will not be able to participate. Pre-registration and payment are required for all classes. Classes are being run with small class sizes and well ventilated, amply spaced indoor and outdoor training venues.
